The John J. “Jack” Hennessy Scholarship Fund is established in memory of and in tribute to former EAPA President and EACC Chair Jack Hennessy, in recognition of his tireless efforts to advance the professional growth of both labor affiliated and non-labor affiliated employee assistance professionals, as well as the cultivation of the CEAP credential. To facilitate the continuation of those important efforts, the Fund has been established to provide an opportunity for both labor affiliated and non-labor affiliated member professionals to participate in the foremost professional development event worldwide,the annual EAP Conference & EXPO.
For the 2017 EAP Conference & EXPO being held in Los Angeles, California, EAPA will award two scholarships, one to a labor affiliated member, and one to a non-labor affiliated member. The scholarship provides one full conference registration for each recipient. Applicants are advised that the scholarship does not include additional costs incurred by attendees such as travel costs to and from the conference location, lodging, meals, or other incidentals incurred by attendees. Applicants must be prepared to finance those related expenses.

. Each application must be supported by a recommendation from a fellow EAPA member as outlined below:
For labor affiliated applications -
- Applicant's local chapter/branch Labor Chair, or
- Fellow labor affiliated EAPA member holding the CEAP credential
For non-labor affilicated application -
- Applicant's local chapter/branch President, or
- Fellow EAPA member holding the CEAP credential
All applications and references must be received at EAPA headquarters by 5:00pm (US eastern time) on Friday August 18, 2017. The application period for the 2017 Hennessy Scholarships is now CLOSED
