Chapter meeting dates/times:
3rd Tuesday of each month excluding August. No meetings are held in August.

Why should I attend?
Chapter meetings are a great way to make professional contacts, network, discover new resources, and develop new skills.

Chapter program:
A segment of each meeting is dedicated to the introduction of members and non-members. We encourage all attendees to make announcements about upcoming events, news related to the field, and job opportunities. After announcements, an educational training is presented.

Continuing education:
Each training provides a minimum of 1.5 pre-approved professional development hours (PDH).

Cost to attend meeting:
Members - no cost
Non-members - $20

Non-Opiate Pain Management

Presenter: Tammy Flemming, DNP, ACNP-BC is the lead Advance Practice Provider for the University of Pittsburgh Chronic Pain Division

Objectives:
The learner will be able to identify 5 different non-opiate therapies for pain management 
The learner will be able to identify uses for essential oils in pain management

9:00-9:15 AM- Introductions & Business meeting
9:15-11:30 AM- Program

FEES AND REGISTRATION: 
Attendance fees are included in an EAPA membership.  Attendance for a one-time guest is free unless one desires PDH/CEU credits for which there is a $20 charge.  
No registration is necessary to attend meetings.  

CREDITS:
The Pittsburgh EAPA Chapter offers the following continuing education credits for attendees at the monthly meetings: PDHs (Professional Development Hours for the CEAP credential), CEUs (Continuing Education Units for the LSW, LCSW, LPC and LMFT credentials), and PCB Approved Education for the Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) credential.

CEAP and CAC certificates are available at each meeting. CEU certificates will be mailed to attendees by the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work. For questions regarding PDH's, CEU's or CAC hours, please contact Lori Paul at 412-974-4195.
