OnLine Addictions – Effective Therapy Techniques
Dr. Tenille Richardson-Quamina, LCSW

Objectives -
1) Increase our understanding regarding the unique characteristics of the Internet that make it addictive.
2) Compare and Contrast substance abuse addictions and process addictions.
3) Identify the various types of online addictions.
4) Review effective treatment and therapy techniques.

Dr. Tenille Richardson-Quamina, LCSW has worked in child welfare for over 20 years. For the past 10 years her focus has been on helping individuals, couples, and families renew, rebuild, and recover from the negative effects of the internet. After experiencing a steep increase in clients seeking therapy due to issues with the Internet, Dr. Tenille went into action. It became her mission to find a way to help clients struggling in the digital age. She has clocked thousands of hours researching, training, and creating unique tools to counter "The Internet Effect." She founded New Creations Counseling Services in 2016 and has developed customized therapy techniques and preventative psychoeducational workshops to help her clients and the community overcome online addictions, cyberbullying, and online infidelity.
