This six hour course is designed to provide CEAP exam preparation and review the key concepts of each EAP Job Performance Domain. Written and designed by EAPA, this course provides an intense review and discussion of newly written CEAP exam sample questions. The questions cover material consistent with a broad overview of the profession.
The course includes information and hands on practice utilizing test taking strategies designed to assist in preparing for the CEAP exam. Each of question will be reviewed for maximum insight into successful preparation strategies. EAP activities in all all three domains will be reviewed. The course reviews EA program design and essential services EAPs provide to workplaces, employees and family members. This course will include:

Learning Objectives
As a result of attending participants will be able to:
- describe the most common features of EA program models and services;
- identify tools necessary for successful preparation for the CEAP exam including: EAPA Program Standards, the EACC Code of Conduct, CEAP Exam Blueprint;
- describe real world application of EAP Core Technology in each of three CEAP domains;
- apply this knowledge to CEAP exam preparation.
Presenter Information
Liz McBride Chambers, CEAP - Liz has worked in Employee Assistance since 1980, for the past 18 years with the U.S. House of Representatives. She is an active member of EAPA and served on the EACC for four years. She holds a Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and is certified as an employee assistance professional.
Chet Taranowski, PhD, CEAP - Chet is the Employee Assistance Coordinator at Aon Services Corporation. He received his Ph.D. from the Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Chet is also the immediate Past President of the Northern Illinois Employee Assistance Professionals Association.

PDH/CE Certificates This course is approved for PDH credit by the EACC. Attendees must participate in a minimum of 85% of the course to recieve credit. Partial credit is not provided. PDH/CE certificates will be issued following reciept of your completed course evaluation. Continuing education contact hours are provided by NBCC, NAADAC and the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
Cancellation/Refund - Registration fees are non-refundable. However, your registration may be rolled to the next offering of the course in 2010. Appeals to this policy may be made in writing (email) to plrmgr@eapassn.org.
