Are you a CEAP Candidate?
  • Elevating Ethical Awareness - is the course you need to take to meet the EACC requirement!

  • Domain I ethics requirement: All new CEAP candidates applying for initial certification must have completed at least two (2) hours of Domain I EAP ethics training as part of the PDH eligibility requirement. This training must have been specifically approved by the EACC to meet this requirement. The only EACC approved course available to the general candidate audience is EAPA’s Elevating Ethical Awareness. This course is available periodically on the EAPA website Learning Center, at EAPA’s Annual World EAP Conference, and through the EAPA chapters and branches.

  • Use this course toward your licence requirements! This course is also approved for CE Contact Hours for/by:

    • Social Workers - Appproved by NASW

    • Licensed Professional Counselors - Approved by NBCC

    • Marriage & Family Therapists - Approved by California Board of Behavioral Sciences

Are you renewing your CEAP Credential?

  • All current CEAPs must complete a total of at least two hours of ethics training per three-year recertification period as part of the sixty (60) hours of continuing education required for recertification. The requirement calls for two hours of EAP specific ethics.  

  • Ethics training courses available online from EAPA:
    • Elevating Ethical Awareness (Domain I, 2 PDH) -  Live, online course - offered only during specific dates/times.  Includes CEUs for Social Workers, Licenced Professional Counselors, Marriage & Family Therapists, and Addiction Professionals.
    • Ethical Practice at Light-Speed (Domain I, 2 PDH) - Archived Conference session.  Immediately available and includes certificate production.  Includes CEUs for Marriage & Family Therapists, and Addiction Professionals.
    • Ethics for the Employee Assistance Professional (Domain 1, 2 PDH) - Archived webinar - allow 1-2 business days for access after registration. Certificates are produced each Friday.   Includes CEUs for Marriage & Family Therapists, and Addiction Professionals.


Are you a Chapter/Branch Leader who wants to provide Elevating Ethical Awareness to your members?

  • You'll find the trainer's guide and the slide deck in the Chapter/Branch Leader's Toolkit.
  • Your chapter/branch will need to identify an appropriate trainer (must be current CEAP) and apply for PDHs as you would for any training.
  • The course materials are free for chapter and branch use. EAPA reserves all rights
