Supervisor and Employee Training
FAA / FMCSA

Provided by our training partner, FedReady

These four training courses meet DOT training requirements for supervisors and employees performing DOT safety-sensitive duties according to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations. These self-paced e-learning courses are the same ones currently in use in many US companies.

EAPA offers these courses to:

  • FAA/FMCSA covered employees and their supervisors who might not otherwise easily obtain this required training. Note: If your work organization has a significant number of DOT safety-sensitive employees seeking FAA/FMCSA training, please contact plrmgr@eapassn.org.

  • EA professionals, Management Consultants and others who provide services to DOT FAA/FMCSA covered employees. Protocols for education, rehabilitation and follow-up for DOT covered employees are not the same as typical EA practices for employees who do not perform safety-sensitive duties. Variance from the regulations can lead to significant fines for employers! Taking the supervisory sessions will familarize you with the regulations.

  • EAP Owners/Account Managers providing EA service to FAA/FMCSA regulated work organizations may refer supervisors and managers to this valuable online training resource. Contact plrmgr@eapassn.org to add this required training to the services your EAP provides to client work organizations.

  • Substance Abuse Professionals (SAPs) are encouraged to take the Supervisor version of these courses. These courses do not substitute for substance abuse professional (SAP) qualification or update training. EAPA is offering DOT required SAP qualification and update training October 20 & 21, 2009 in Dallas, Texas.
