Why should I attend?
Chapter meetings are a great way to make professional contacts, network, discover new resources, and develop new skills.
A segment of each meeting is dedicated to the introduction of members and non-members. We encourage all attendees to make announcements about upcoming events, news related to the field, and job opportunities. After announcements, an educational training is presented.
Each training provides a minimum of 1.0 pre-approved professional development hours (PDH).

Core Technology in the Workplace

Dr. Murray is Chief Marketing and Learning Officer for Balboa Horizons Addiction and Behavioral Health Center in the Costa Mesa / Newport Beach communities in California where he recently brought 30 years of experience as a leader and educator. His approach to organizational development and sustainability is highlighted through his leadership in building some of the mostadvanced employee assistance, work-life wellness and addiction-based programs in North America,and previously with the AFL-CIO Members Assistance Program in Tennessee. Murray has also focused extensively on delivering education that strategically address the complexities inherent inlabor-management contract negotiations, as well as courses aimed at aligning organizationalleadership and human capital with long-term sustainability.
Murray's education includes a doctorate in Executive Leadership and Education at the George Washington University in Washington D.C., and a Master of Science Degree from the University ofMassachusetts-Amherst. He has a history of teaching and coordinated undergraduate and graduate programs with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, the StateUniversity of New York system, UMass-Amherst, and he is a visiting professor at Nanjing University's MBA program in China.
