Who should attend?

Join the global gathering of employee assistance professionals for outstanding educational and networking opportunities, as well as the largest EXPO dedicated to top EA products and services. Attendees come from a variety of employee assistance and related backgrounds – including psychology, human resources, private practice, social work, treatment centers and more - and represent thirty five countries all over the world.

What is the conference schedule?

The EAPA 2018 Conference & EXPO will take place October 10-13, 2018. Pre-Conference Training Courses are offered on October 9 & 10 (Separate fee applies). The EXPO will open the evening of October 10, and run all day October 11 & 12 (EXPO Access is included with Full Conference Registration).

The Call for Proposals for Conference Presenters ran from January-February 2018. The Conference Program Planning Panel has concluded their review of the proposals and selected the conference sessions and speakers. The next Call for Proposals (for EAPA 2019) will open in January 2019. Do you offer volunteer opportunities?

EAPA welcomes a small group of outstanding members to serve as conference work exchange volunteers each year. In exchange for committing to working the full week of the conference – Tuesday, October 9 through Saturday, October 13 – volunteers receive complimentary full conference registration and access to EAPA 2018 conference session recordings. Volunteer program and wait list are both full at this time.

What Types of Education Credits are available?

Professional Development Hours (PDHs) approved by the Employee Assistance Certification Commission (EACC) for new and recertifying Certified Employee Assistance Professionals (CEAPs) are provided for attending all educational sessions at EAPA 2018. Note, PDHs and continuing education contact hours (CE Contact Hours) are based upon the clock hour and only available for the actual time training is provided. We also provide SHRM credit.Non-educational sessions, breaks, and meals are excluded.

EAPA applies to NAADAC, NASW, NBCC and SHRM to be an approved provider of continuing education credits or contact hours.  PsyBar is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists and maintains responsibility for the program and its content. PsyBar has identified specific programs that meet APA standards and these are listed for your convenience.   For all approved organizations there is an additional fee for obtaining  continuing education credits or contact hours. It is the attendee’s responsibility to check with their licensing/certification boards to determine which programs meet the approved standards. (Note: The California Board of Behavioral Sciences accepts NASW and NBCC CE Contact Hours.)
