Where will the Institute be held?

  • EAPA EXPO Open Dates: October 6-8
  • Pre-Institute Training Courses: October 6 (separate fee applies)
  • Special Networking/Fundraising Event: Friday, October 7, 5 - 7pm (separate fee applies)
  • EAP Law Post-Institute Training Course: October 10 (separate fee applies)
  • DOT/SAP Post-Institute Training Course: October 10-11 (separate fee applies)

Will this event be virtual?         

The Institute will be held live in-person at the Hilton Norfolk the Main in Norfolk, Virginia. All educational sessions will be recorded and access to those recordings (with education credits) will be available for purchase following the Institute from the EAPA Conference & Institute Recordings website.

As to virtual learning opportunities, EAPA offers an extensive selection of live webinars and online training courses year-round!

What types of education credit are available?

Professional Development Hours (PDHs) approved by the Employee Assistance Certification Commission (EACC) for new and recertifying Certified Employee Assistance Professionals (CEAPs) are provided for attending all educational sessions. Note, PDHs and continuing education contact hours (CE Contact Hours) are based upon the clock hour and only available for the actual time training is provided. Non-educational sessions, breaks, and meals are excluded. EAPA applies to NAADAC, NASW, NBCC, and SHRM to be an approved provider of CE contact hours for those boards. (Note: The California Board of Behavioral Sciences accepts NASW and NBCC CE Contact Hours.) 

For the 2022 Institute, CE contact hours will be available for no additional charge, it is included in the registration fee. We are in the process of making application to the above listed organizations for the appropriate credits approvals. 

What is your Refund Policy?

All cancellations and refund requests must be received in writing to institute@eapassn.org by September 1, 2022. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations made after this date regardless of reason, registration date, or for no-shows. Refunds will be issued after November 1, 2022, and a $100 cancellation fee will be retained by EAPA. Attendee substitutions are allowed; requests must be made in writing to institute@eapassn.org.

What COVID-19 Precautions/Policies are in place?

Attendee safety is a top priority. EAPA has been monitoring the ever-changing guidelines and best practices for in-person events and will continue to do so through the EAPA Institute in October. Click Here for EAPA COVID Policy for In-Person Events.
