EAPA Chapter/Branch Leader Virtual Town Hall Meetings 
Meetings are hosted by the EAPA Board of Directors and include updates from the Board committees, task forces, and EAPA staff. All EAPA Chapter/Branch Leaders/Officers are encouraged to attend, and all EAPA members are welcome to attend and join the lively discussion. Forward any questions or suggestions for agenda topics to president@eapassn.org. Meetings are held in the EAPA Zoom Room. Detailed agendas and log-in instructions are emailed to all current EAPA members prior to each meeting.  Upcoming meetings are listed below:

EAPA San Diego Chapter Virtual Meetings
Special Virtual Event October 27th (11am – 12:30pm PST): Substance Misuse and the Workplace: Emerging Trends and Innovative Solutions - a topic of critical relevance within the areas of employee wellbeing and workplace health today. Panelists include Tamara Cagney, EdD, MA, BSN; Calvin McGinn, Ph.D., LMFT, RN; Joyce McGinn, OTR/L, GCFP; and Heidi Wallace, MA, LPC, NCC,MAC. San Diego Chapter Monthly virtual “Chapter Chat” meetings on the last Friday of each month (12pm – 1pm PST):
These open chapter meetings focus on providing a regular forum for collegial discussion among Employee Assistance professionals and those interested in or connected with the Employee Assistance field. We discuss a variety of topics associated with the broader field of Employee Assistance. Chapter Chat meetings are open to all who are interested in attending. Registration is required. NON-EAPA MEETINGS

Virtual Tuerk Conference on Mental Health and Addiction Treatment hosted by the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Maryland Chapter
The 33rd Annual Tuerk Conference will be held virtually on September 23rd and will feature 4 plenary speakers and 12 afternoon workshops. Topics covered include: the impact of COVID on the Maryland treatment system and communities of color, the effectiveness of AA, the use of telemedicine, the impact of generational trauma, research on the use of psychedelics in treatment, updates on the effectiveness of peer counselors, the resurgence of methamphetamines and other stimulants, underage drinking, and the impact of sports betting on problem gambling.
